Re:think - (Not) Another Sizzle Reel

When asked to make a “sizzle reel” for The Atlantic, we asked, “But why a sizzle reel?” Errol Morris and industry experts gave us the answer.

 

It has become an industry norm: the company sizzle reel. At this point, they’re nearly indistinguishable from one another. Cue the fast paced track, drone footage from that great spot you just produced, client logos and a few Cannes Lion mentions. So when it came time to produce our 2019 reel, we asked, Is this really the best way to showcase our work? To answer that question, we spoke with Academy Award Winning director Errol Morris, and some of the most established minds in advertising and film.
