For Land Rover’s re-release of its Defender vehicle, we brought musician John Mayer—a lifelong Defender enthusiast—to Jedidiah Smith Redwood State Park to remind people why they need to get out and explore the American wilderness. The journey, documented over three days in the Pacific Northwest, came to life in a ~6minute documentary film, original photography, behind-the-scenes short form video, and a custom build landing page on TheAtlantic.com.
